407 ETR / Highway 407 Explained

One Road, Two Operators

Although your driving experience is seamless no matter where you're travelling along the highway, it's important to understand the distinction between Highway 407 and Highway 407 ETR.

Rates and fees vary by highway

The Government of Ontario sets and regulates tolls and fees on Highways 407. 407 ETR establishes the tolls and fees for Highway 407 ETR.

Hassle-free customer experience

Your 407 ETR transponder is valid on any toll highway in Ontario – including Highway 407 and 407 ETR. All of your tolls are reflected on one bill from 407 ETR and revenue for the provincially-operated toll highways is passed back to the Government of Ontario."
