Maintenance and Safety

Ontario’s rigorous highway safety standards are reflected in the province’s commitment to ensure the safety of its road users. As part of a provincial highway network, safety on Highway 407 is no exception.

Maintenance of Highway 407 is contracted out to 407 East Development Group (407 EDG) from Brock Road to Harmony Road. The maintenance of Highway 407 from Harmony Road to Highway 35/115 is contracted out to Blackbird Infrastructure 407.

Both the contractors are required to meet or exceed the province’s safety standards and ensure the free flow of traffic on the highway.
