When was the full Highway 407 expansion completed?

The full Highway 407 project was completed and opened to traffic in 2019.

The Highway 407 Project included the design and construction of Tolled Highway 407, Highway 412 and Highway 418 in 2 phases:

  • Phase 1: Brock Road to Harmony Road and Highway 412 opened to traffic on June 20, 2016.

  • Phase 2A: Harmony Road to Taunton Road opened to traffic on January 2, 2018.

  • Phase 2B: Taunton Road to Highway 35/115 and Highway 418 opened to traffic on December 9, 2019.

Effective April 5, 2022, the province removed all tolls from Highway 412 and 418 and these are no longer tolled highways.
